Eryngium yuccifolium -- (Rattlesnake Master)

Eryngium yuccifolium, commonly named Wild Rattlesnake Master, Button Snakeroot, or Button Eryngo, adds form and texture to your flowerbeds with its unusual compact flower clusters and seed heads.  Native Rattlesnake Master has distinctive upright yucca-like basal leaves that are bluish-green and grow 1 to 3 feet tall, they are a host plant for Swallowtail butterfly larva.  Rattlesnake Master is an interesting low maintenance, drought-resistant, and long-lived perennial.  A large Rattlesnake Master plant will be a unique focal point in your flower garden.
