This purple coneflower is a native perennial.  It is well known in the herb business as a valuable herb.  This plant is attractive to bees, butterflies and/or birds and is a valuable addition to the wildflower prairie..  sometimes an aggressive plant.  It looks very nice when planted with other grasses.  If looks beautiful when planted in mass in the border, native plant garden, naturalized area, prairie, wildflower meadow or part shade areas of woodland garden.This plant may be considered a protected species in some states; check before digging or gathering seeds.
